The XM2001 Crusader 155mm self-propelled howitzer features fully automated ammunition handling and firing, enabling it to shoot up to 48 rounds onboard at speeds of ten rounds per minute, reaching distances beyond 40km. It can launch the first rounds within 15 to 30 seconds of a mission start. The Crusader also supports multiple rounds simultaneous impact (MRSI), allowing a single vehicle to fire eight rounds that hit the target simultaneously. Its digital fire control system independently computes firing solutions for each of these eight shells.
