The AV-8B Harrier II is a series of V/STOL attack aircraft from the late 20th century, used by the USMC, UK's RAF/RN, Spain, and Italy, typically deployed on small carriers or large ships. These 2nd-gen planes were initially introduced as "Day Attack" variants, but have since been upgraded to the "Night Attack" or "Harrier II Plus" models, replacing the earlier models.
