The US GMC CCKW-352 is a 1/35 model kit of a 2.5 ton 6X6 cargo truck used by the Army in World War II and the Korean War. Nicknamed "Deuce and a Half" or "Jimmy", the truck had various versions based on cab type and wheelbase. The original closed cab design had a metal roof and doors, but an open cab version was later developed with half doors and a canvas top. Initially, the truck had a steel cargo bed, but a wooden one was later used to conserve steel. However, this proved inadequate and a "composite" bed with steel sides and wooden slats was eventually created. Eventually, the wooden slats were replaced with an all steel composite bed.
