The Oshkosh-developed M1070 tractor has been utilized since 1993 to transport the mighty M1 Abrams tank. This tractor, alongside the M1000 semi-trailer, make up the U.S. Army's HETS (Heavy Equipment Transporter System). Measuring 9.1 meters long and 2.6 meters wide, the M1070 is equipped with a 500hp diesel engine and can reach speeds of up to 72 km/h on roads. Furthermore, it has the capacity to carry up to 70 tons of weight and tow 25 tons. The cabin can accommodate up to 6 people, such as the driver and crew, and comprises a winch, bulletproof board and a machine gun on the loading platform.
