The Tamiya 24365 model kit accurately replicates the Toyota Soarer 2000VR-Turbo from 1981, originally sold as Item 24019. This updated version features new decals and an instruction manual. Debuting in February 1981, the Soarer was Toyota's premier luxury car. The 2-door hardtop coupe boasted a sleek design, high-quality inline-6 engine, and cutting-edge auto technology in the interior. The Soarer VR-Turbo, introduced in June 1981, added a turbocharged engine with 145hp for even greater performance. Known for its exceptional speed and comfort, the Soarer is considered one of the top luxury cars of the 1980s.
