One of the most renowned variants of Focke-Wulf Fw 190 created during WWII was the D-9. This aircraft entered service in September 1944, featuring a new liquid-cooled V-12 engine for superior performance compared to the preceding radial motors. Tamiya's 61041 1/48 Model Kit faithfully replicates the D-9, with its lengthened nose and tail, and open or closed cowl flaps and canopies. Moreover, the set contains a pilot figure and four decal options.
