Item No: 48325.
The B-26F Marauder underwent a key upgrade with its reengineered wing design. By increasing the wing’s angle of attack by 3.5 degrees, the engines were slightly tilted upward, which shortened the takeoff distance by around 90 meters, lowered takeoff speed, and reduced landing distance. While this adjustment slightly decreased the top flight speed, it improved overall performance. The model also included a new ventilation mast for fuel tank airflow and an updated windshield. Production started in Baltimore in early 1944, with the first planes arriving in Great Britain by spring 1945 and others sent to the Mediterranean’s 12th Air Force.
